Simulation Workshops in Piraeus

Maritime Hellas navigate the Greek cluster and SIMTEC Software & Services SA successfully organized Mechanics and Fluids Simulation Workshops on March 14, at the facilities of Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, in Piraeus. ANSYS Structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation solutions with Mechanical and Fluent software packages were presented by SIMTEC’s engineers. Attendees were informed through both presentations and live demonstrations, on how by using simulation they become able to optimize designs and processes, significantly reduce costs, prevent failures and ultimately conceive high-quality constructions and products.
The workshops were addressed to engineers involved in the designing process and in the Research and Development (R&D) of innovative new products, constructions and processes. Participating companies located in Greece and operating mainly in the sector of Marine & Offshore, but also in the industrial sectors of Automotive, Defence, Construction, Consumer Goods, Gas and Metals Processing had the opportunity to be informed about the advanced simulation analysis techniques and the ANSYS software recent features for fluids and structures simulation.
